Tag Problems, there but not there

I’ve been having this problem for quite some time (it is not related to our new dashboard). I do my posts ahead of time including the entering of the tag then set it to auto-publish. Once it is published, you click on the tag and it gets an error page saying no tag exists (yet it is obviously there to click). If I go in and edit it, remove the old tag and enter the same exact tag in, that fixes the problem. Is there any way around having to edit every single post to make my tags work? Thanks if you have any insight into this issue. :)

Autoposting messes with Categories, too; you don’t show up in global category or tag pages until you’ve gone in and edited the autoposted post. I don’t know a way around this.

Have you tried just hitting Edit and changing something minor in the post, like a period to a semicolon? Try it and report back if that works, because it works with the Category error.

Wow. I didn’t realize the other errors with autoposting. I’ll do a minor edit next time and see if that fixes the tag issues I have been noticing. I’ll repost here tomorrow midday and let you know.

A simple edit (doesn’t matter what you change) does in fact fix this issue. While I do wish I did not have to go in and edit every single article I autopost, knowing I don’t have to delete and reenter the tag does save a bit of time. Thanks for the suggestion.

Good to know; thanks for reporting back.

I have the same issue. I find that you don’t even have to change anything to get your tags to show up in global tags. Once your post has published, just hit Edit and save it.
