Tag Spam – No matter what it is..
-
Hey,
So I started my wordpress.com blog about a year ago and only ever posted one blog.. The tags I put for that blog were classified as spam under the dashboard. Since then I have deleted that blog and added a new one that has gotten some feedback from friends yet no one has looked at it from WordPress.. or from google.. So I updated the tags and only made four.. Now it says as it always says that one is spam.. How do I change this? It also says my Categories for the blog are pending.. They have been pending for a year..
Help!
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Now it says as it always says that one is spam. Where does it say that? I haven’t come across that yet.

It says it under — Dashboard — Right Now —
On my personal Dashboard settings..
I am wondering this because it seems like I am not getting any type of SEO on it from google or wordpress..

Are you referring to the line that says “123 Tags … 123 Spam”? That is the number of tags you are using and the number of spam comments that have been caught by Akismet. It’s completely unrelated, it’s not the number of spam (among your) tags.

Your blog is indexed by Google and Bing, but you only have two posts. It takes time for the search engines to figure out where exactly to put you, and it takes time to build page rank so that you turn up higher in searches. Typically you are looking at 6 months to a year before you will get enough page rank.
Tag and categorize your posts with well thought out tags and categories. Using broad tags like “marketing” and “business” means that you are competing with tens of millions of others. Categories you can leave broad, but use tags to narrow things down. Think about what terms you would use to find your posts when you are creating your tags.

To check if you are indexed, and to see other useful information about your blog, all you have to do is go to http://ismyblogworking.com/ and enter your URL. It checks your RSS feed to make sure it validates and is working, and it checks to see if you are indexed by google and bing (the two most important).
