Tag Surfer page not working

“Tag Surfer,” even its most rudimentary function, does not work for me. When I am logged in and go from my Dashboard to “Tag Surfer,” I see the expected page, but it displays nothing under “Subscribed Tags” (even though it’s supposed to populate that from my existing tags), and it will not allow me to type anything into the box next to the “Add” button and above the “Add a tag above” line. In fact, the whole part of the page between the title “Tag Surfer” and the line “Add a tag above” seems to be a zombie: If I click anywhere in there and then try to scroll up or down, nothing happens; but if I click elsewhere on the page (such as in the blank space down in the “Need Help?” box) I can then use the scroll buttons. I am using IE 6.0 under Windows XP. Is Tag Surfer something that one must pay for before it works? Thanks for any advice.

P.S.: By the way, the links “this post” and “tags” within the Tag Surfer page do work for me, but nevertheless, there are no tags listed by default, and it will not let me add any tags. I sent a “Feedback” message to WordPress 2 days ago but have not had any response yet, not even an automated acknowledgement that they had received my question. So does anyone else out there have a suggestion?
    Many thanks.

IE 6 has issues and the best suggestion I can make it to wait until staff answer the feedback that you sent in.

I gotta admit that I think very poorly of the tag surfer. Not in the way is was created or for the reasons why it was created but that it shows that folks just throw up content any way they want without thinking about it. We have folks here who’ll throw up 10 youtube videos into a post without realizing that this will usually break most browsers. Get one or two of those together on the tag page and it won’t load.

I’m not sure about the “IE6 has issues” bit but I do note that I can’t add in tags into the box here in the forums when I use IE6. I do agree with TT though about sending in a feedback with as much specific information as possible.

You could just take springandflall member’s comments and double them. Iam having exactly the same problem.

Best bet would be to submit a feedback with specifics to staff and make them aware of the situation. I stress the “specifics”. Thinks like browser, browser version, OS, and what you’re seeing and what specicifcally isn’t working.

Actually another useful purpose “tag surfer” serves is too expose other blogger stupidities like inappropriate tagging (tag barely related to contents).

Agreed but we don’t worry about that. That’s an issue for staff, not us. :)

Plus there’s nothing against the “law of blogging” to over use tags. It’s just rude.
