Tag url appears with language prefix at front
-
Hi all,
I am image-searching in google by one of my categories (i.e. with my category name “serifos-writers-home”).
I am noticing that my corresponding images, (the images belonging to my site from the whole search-result set), instead of redirecting to :
https://wordpress.com/tag/serifos-writers-home-rental/
(in English = the selected default language in my site (set as “interface language” too))are redirecting to :
https://mn.wordpress.com/tag/serifos-writers-home-rental/ (with Mongolian translation of word “Tag” on top)or :
https://so.wordpress.com/tag/serifos-writers-home-rental/
(with Somalian translation of word “Tag” on top)The general case is that a language prefix is inserted in front of the wordpress url. Either “so” (so.wordpress.com) or “mn” (mn.wordpress.com).
For example this is one example image (there are a lot more)
https://www.google.com/search?q=serifos+home+rental&client=firefox-b-ab&source=lnms&tbm=isch&sa=X&ved=0ahUKEwjv6qLKqvTeAhUH3CwKHaWzDBUQ_AUIDygC&biw=1920&bih=966#imgrc=nl-j62UddukvQM:at which you can notice the “mn” (Mongolia) prefix firstly exactly below the image = “mn.wordpress.com” and then by hitting the “Visit” button you can also notice that the respective link is the https://mn.wordpress.com/tag/serifos-writers-home-rental/
May you please assist me on this? Why is this automatic redirection to another language happening?
Thank you in advance,

Hi there,
That is the URL at which Google indexed that particular image. It likely has that image indexed at various language subdomains, and it’s just happening to return this particular result to you. That’s not something we have any control over.
