Tag Word Cloud on Illustratr Theme
-
Hi there!
I’d love to make a tag word cloud or – ideally – list on my ‘Archives’ page (http://thelightningnotes.com/archives-2/). But I can only see a Footer option available. Is it possible to have them on the page in a sidebar?
The site I’d love help with is thelightningnotes.com.
Thanks much!
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Thanks, timethief! That puts them in the footer of the post and I’d love to have them as a sidebar on the Archives page, since it’s pretty easy to miss them in the footer.
Think it might be possible?
Appreciate your lightning-fast response!

The footer is the only area on this theme that widgets are supported. It’s not possible to add a sidebar in the way you are hoping, I’m afraid.
You would need to switch to a theme that has sidebars on archive pages.
One thing I did want to mention though is that instead of manually creating (and updating) a list of posts like that, you may want to consider using the Display Posts shortcode: https://en.support.wordpress.com/display-posts-shortcode/
This would allow you to insert a code into the page, like this:
[display-posts posts_per_page="30" include_date="true"]And it will automatically generate a list of your 30 most recent post by title, and will include the date it was posted. You would lose the ability to neatly divide your archives by month, but you would never have to update it.
Hope that helps. Please let me know if you have any further questions.

Rats!
But thanks, jerrysarcastic, for the response and the helpful tip on displaying posts! I’m a sucker for having them organized by month, so I’ll keep on manually plugging away. But I appreciate you going out of your way to tell me!
