Tagging and promotion

Hi all
I have created a new photography blog using the monochrome theme at http://www.fusion5photography.wordpress.com
I have a few quick questions:
1. I have noticed in other blogs that the post tags appear at the bottom of the actual post itself. How can I do this? Mine only show up in the tag cloud widget. And are these tags only applicable for navigation around my site, or do they register in wordpress.com in general so other users may stumble across my blog via these tags?
2. How and where can I promote my new blog to fellow wordpress.com photography bloggers? Ive noticed a bit of a network but I dont know how to get amongst it?Ive read numerous support topics on each of these questions but still cant seem to work it out, sorry if im a bit slow!

1. In my test blog, the tags (tags assigned to the post) show up listed in a section below the categories at the left of the post.
2. Tag and categorize your posts with appropriate photographic-type tags and it will show up in the wordpress.COM global tags pages. Also, at the left of the main forum page, click on the “showcase” forum and then put a post there announcing your blog. Also, using a broad tag such as “photography” will have you competing with hundreds of posts each day. Perhaps use that category or tag, but also something like “landscape photography” or “portrait photography” or whatever is appropriate.
3. Find other photographic sites on wordpress by viewing the tags pages on photographic related tags and categories, and look over what they have done. Make comments on those blogs when you see something you like, but don’t just comment, “come see my new blog” with a link.
4. Tell your friends and tell them to tell their friends. Tell the family and tell them to tell their friends.
