Tagging posts
-
Today I made a post and put over 12 tags and it didn’t show up in any of the sections I tagged them in. I then removed these tags hours later when I discovered this would stop your blogs from showing up. I read through the discussion forums and saw that people get blocked if they tag their post with too many tags and now I’m worried this will happen for my future posts. I have already wasted an entire post due to tagging it too many times un- knowingly and want to be sure my future posts will show up as long as I do a the right amount of tags, otherwise I just won’t bother writing.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

You don’t get “blocked”. If you have a total of up to 15 tags and categories combined your posts won’t show up in public listings, as the software will consider your post spam in that case. It will still appear in the Reader for your followers, but people searching for a specific topic won’t find it. This is on a post by post basis, so over-tagging one post shouldn’t affect future posts. http://en.support.wordpress.com/posts/tags/#topic-listings
http://en.support.wordpress.com/topics/Best practice is to use the minimum amount of tags and categories possible. Only use tags and categories that are really relevant to your post.

Ok thanks for making this clearer :). A good idea for the wordpress tagging function would be to have a little notification below it that says not too post too many tags or try to post under 15 so it’s clearer to people using it, as there seems to be a lot of confusion in the discussion forums about this.
