Tagline Change

How do I change the tagline for my blog? I changed to a new theme Plane, but I can’t find where I can change the text on my header to change my tagline. I’ve changed it before, so is it the theme that is holding me back?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

If your theme has this option, you will find it under the “Theme Options” or “Appearance => Customize”. Alternatively, you can find a SEO plugin, which can do the same thing and much more than that.

The Site title (blog name) and/or the optional Tagline can be changed on the top of this page at any time. > Settings > General …”save changes”. That is exactly where search engine spiders look for the site title and removing it from there can cause issues with getting your content indexed. Note that the site title (blog name) and blog address URL do not have to be the same but it’s better for SEO (search engine optimization) if they are the same. Be aware that only some themes display Taglines.

Not so. There is no FTP access and no blogger installed plugin capability on any free hosted WordPress.com blogs and there is no upgrade you can purchase here that changes that reality.

http://en.support.wordpress.com/plugins/If you want FTP access to install plugins or third party themes into a site then you will have to hire a web host http://wordpress.org/hosting/ and set up your own WordPress.org install.

Thanks. I am keeping the blog name (although I would love to change it now), realizing that it is established and recognized.
Your solution was helpful. Part of the issue are some of the changes to WordPress and I’m still working those out.
