Tagline disappears in mobile view

I have a tagline and it shows on PC and tablet and I am using a mobile friendly theme, Lovecraft, but when I go on the mobile site the tagline disappears. I really want the tagline to be seen as most people read my posts on their phones and my tagline is in Irish and I’m trying to encourage this, so it’s important.

Does anybody know how I can fix this?

  • Hi @purehandsomebloglike, sorry we didn’t see this earlier. The theme is designed that way because the tagline doesn’t really fit well on a small screen. You can see this in action by taking your desktop browser window and resizing it until it’s skinny.

If you definitely need your tagline showing, though, you have a few options.

    – Upgrade your account to premium so you have CSS access, then make a request for the code to show the tagline in mobile.

    – Switch to a different theme that shows the tagline in mobile (be sure to look at its demo to confirm, first)

    – Combine your site title and tagline into a logo image, then upload that via My Site > Customize > Site Identity. There you can hide the text version of the title and tagline. And the logo image will always show up, regardless of whether you’re on a desktop or a tiny phone screen.

    I hope this helps!
