Tagline doesn’t show up

  My tagline (“Where Westport meets the world”) does not show up at all. I’ve entered it in Settings/General/Blog Title & Taglines, and clicked Save Changes. THANKS for any help — http://06880danwoog.com

  Not all themes display taglines (theme author’s design) and yours is one of them. You can put the tagline in a text widget in your sidebar if you don’t want to change themes.

  THANKS! One more question — I’m still not sure what a text widget does. Is it just a place to put custom text in the sidebar? And if so, do I have to know HTML?

  Text widgets are good for many, many things. Once you get your feet wet, you’ll probably think you’d be lost without them.
