Tagline not showing (already searched the forum!)

    Dear Forumites,

Sorry for the very basic question, but I could not sort it out even after reading previous posts on WordPress forums with similar problems. I have set up a blog at http://audreyswardrobe.wordpress.com/. It had a WordPress tagline showing which I changed to the one I wanted. Now this tagline shows in my Settings, but not on the blog itself.

I have tried to check the code, but I only got as far as perusing the CSS sheet via Dashboard>Appearance>Edit CSS.

I also tried to insert a widget I saw in a previous post, but I only got as far as Dashboard>Appearance>Widgets. It gives me a pre-made list of widgets and I don’t see the option to add the code that I found.

Thank you in advance for helping out this newbie!

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Some themes do display taglines and some do not display them. You can either choose a theme that does display one or insert the tagline into a text widget and display that widget at the top of your sidebar, or you can use the Gravatar widget to achieve the same thing. This post provides a listing of themes that either do or don’t display taglines. http://wpbtips.wordpress.com/category/tagline/

    Thank you, timethief!
It seems my theme does not display taglines, after all – strange, because initially a ready-made tagline by the WordPress template did indeed display!

I loaded Unsleepable on my test blog and it did not display a tagline. I think that what you may be recalling is the default theme (Kurbrick) theme that we all have when we first get a blog, prior to selecting a theme of our choice.
