Tagline not shown at front page

    Hi,
I just shifted to Affinity theme which is great.
Interestingly, I could see tagline on front page, on the featured image at the beginning, but cannot see it now.
“Display site title and tagline” is checked. There’s a text in tagline field.
The only thing I did in between was to add some more words to tagline including a “&” character, but the problem is not solved even I deleted it.

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Sorry, the blog name should be railturkey.com

Here is info about that theme – https://wordpress.com/themes/affinity/

    It says, “Site Tagline
The site tagline is a great place to put a quote or a brief welcome to your site. It will appear on the front page, blog, and archives over your Custom Header image. If no Custom Header is active, the Site Tagline is hidden.”

Do you have a Custom Header?

Ah.. I read everything, other than the theme details itself.. Shame on me.

Interestingly, theme force me to choose a picture as custom header, and never shows that but only the tagline..

    I thank you so much..

    Thanks for your help, Melyssa!

Onur: The theme should display the custom header that you’ve set. If you can share a link to your site then I’ll be happy to take a look into what’s going on.

    Here’s the link: http://railturkey.com

I chose a picture from the theme’s own customs header selection, and cannot see it anywhere.. And I’m glad not to see any custom header, because current form is perfect.

Please let me know if you discover anything..

Thank you for sharing the link!

You have a featured image on that page, which overrides the theme’s custom header. I tested on my own site and agree that it’s odd for no tagline to appear if a featured image is set, but there’s no header image.

I’ll get that reported back to the theme’s author. :) In the meantime, setting a custom header (even if it’s overridden with a featured image) will give you the look you’re after.

    Thank you Siobhyb.

I like the theme very much. Please tell my best wishes to the theme’s author.

    I’ll be sure to. :)
