Tagline will not show: Sketch Theme

The Sketch Theme supports a tagline but I cannot get one to show for me.
The Demo does not show a tagline.
I’ve cleared my cache.
I’ve also resized header picture to exact recommendations and am using the font that comes with the theme, so as not to cause size issues.
I’ve read the wordpress.com support pages and cannot seem to find an answer to my problem.

Hi there. I had a quick look and it seems that the Sketch theme does not display a tagline. You will see on the demo site it also doesn’t display: http://sketchdemo.wordpress.com/

I mentioned that the Demo does not show a tagline.
But, in the customization area, you are given the option to add both a tagline and a site logo. Which is why I believe the theme is supposed support a tag line. -
You can add a tagline, either under Settings ->General, or under Appearance ->Customize, yes. But that’s mostly for the benefit of search engines. It doesn’t display on this theme. I tested it on my test blog also, and got the same result.
You might be able to make it display by adding custom CSS to your theme, but you’ll need an upgrade for that.

I already have the CSS upgrade on my blog and will post there.
MODS: Sketch is a new theme offered by WordPress. The tagline option is currently not working. You may want to let your programmers know.

For clarity on this be aware that every blog has a spot to enter a Tagline on this page > Settings > General. But not every theme is designed to display a Tagline.

OK, I’m trying to enter mine on the right side of the page using customization. Should I expect to see a tagline?
