  The tags I added to my last post don’t show up on the page–aren’t visible at the end of the post. That’s the first time that’s ever happened. How come?

  I suspect you are using too many tags. I have a feeling that if you reduced them to a number more in line with your previous posts, they would appear.

  There is another, perhaps more important, reason for limiting the number of tags/categories. It can keep you out of tar/topic searches in the reader. As mentioned on this page:

  If you have published a new post and it isn’t showing up on tag pages for the tags and categories that you’ve used, there are several possible explanations:

  1. You are using too many categories or tags. In most cases, there’s no need to assign more than a handful of tags per post. If you use more than 15 tags and categories (total), your posts will not appear on tag pages (because you don’t want to see irrelevant content showing up there, and neither do we).
