  I don’t know when or how, but I have a default tag on my blog posts in on catagory. It’s always checked and I can’t uncheck it. I don’t always want to blog about that same topic. How do I delete it?

  That’s because you have not replaced the default category with one of your own. See: Setting the Default Category
