The question is not only for the blog, but also for any blog.

Where do I find a list of the tags I’ve used?

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

There is no overall list for tags. The tag cloud widget can hold up to I believe 45, but otherwise there’s no master list. Categories, of course, always keep a master list.

    Thank you.

And, what’s to be done if one can’t remember what’s been used, especially if there’s more than the possible 45?

You can go through your posts one by one, that’s about all I can suggest.

This is one reason I always ONLY use categories. Unfortunately, you can’t convert tags into categories.

You can find all your Tags on the Post Tags page in your blog. Look in the left hand side menu column and find > Posts > Post Tags

You can find the both the Categories to Tags converter page and Tags to Categories converter pages as well. The former is evident and easy to find the latter is not easy to locate.

    > Posts > Categories
scroll to bottom of page and on right hand side click the link “Categories can be selectively converted to tags using the category to tag converter.”

When the page opens you will see two buttons at the top of the page.
Left hand button says “Categories to Tags”
Right hand button says ” Tags to Categories”

Clicking those buttons will take you to 2 different pages that allow you to make the required conversions.

    Really? That’s new, thanks!

It’s been there for some time now. it’s not easy to find. The last time I teried to help a blogger to locate it, rather tha following instruction I provide he became abusive, stating that the ability to convert tags to categories did not exist when it does and I have used it. It was a a *** headdesk *** thread so I have ignored all such threads like it until today.

    Timethief,

I’m very glad you think I might be a nice enough person to try a reply — I have found everything as you said. And, thank you.

Further, the “catagories” page showed me how the layout is supposed to look. It seems although I tried to put tags on postings (from Windows Live Writer), apparently they were not added at all, which is a good reason for not being able to track down anything. (Must investigate….)

    Have a good weekend, folks.

I’m so glad my instructions helped you. You’re welcome and best wishes for a fabulous weekend. :)
