tags are found via google …but not the blog
-
hi,
i made some photos of a friends fashion store, post them in my blog and set tags some days ago. http://timelockin.wordpress.com/2008/07/14/210-norris-lane/
if i now google the tags (example: 210 norris lane) i get results from wordpress. but not the form of results i needed. cause i get “Sorry, we don’t have any posts here with that tag. You may want to try one of the sites below”.
it looks like the tags are working with google but it looks also as wordpress is blocking the results. is there any restriction i have not noticed?best regards

Yes.
These are the tags on that specific post:
210 noris lane, 210 norislane, 210 NORRIS LANE, 210norislane, 210norrislane, 210norrislane.com, 210norrislane.de, casual, casual but stylish, Duesseldorf, fashion, feminine, germany, global loungewear collection, headquarter, label, loungewear, loungewear concept, naturally, noris lane, norislane, norris lane, norrislane, perfect fit, showroom, stylish, trautmann, uli trautmann, women, womensIf you do a search of the forum for “not appearing in tags” and related terms you’ll find at least two main possible causes:
1) staff have set a limit on the number of tags people can use and still appear in the tag pages. None of the volunteers knows exactly what it is, but 12 or fewer categories/tags in combination seems to be the safe upper limit. You can use either categories or tags, or a mix, but don’t use more than 12 on any one post.
2) at least once, a blogger has been dumped off the global tag pages for using too many categories/tags that were unique to her blog. You are always going to be safer with terms more than one person uses. I can’t say if this is a factor on your blog, but #1 definitely is. Only staff can tell you if #2 is.
