Tags Disappeared from Global Tag Page

http://faq.wordpress.com/2008/07/15/my-post-doesnt-show-up-in-the-tag-list-what-gives/ is a good explanation as well.

I’ve trimmed down my tags and they are listed again. I have another question – I just created a new blog http://mynameisroxiedigscelebritiesandtheirdogs.wordpress.com/, so I could use more tags. Could I redirect this new blog to the appropriate page on My Name Is Roxie ( http://mynameisroxie.com/celebrities-and-their-dogs/)
-
No. Why did you create a new blog to use more tags? Are you thinking you can put twelve on that post which redirects to a post on your old blog, which also has a different twelve and thus use 24? Staff is not going to like that and probably won’t permit it.
Also, as far as I know it’s not possible to do automatic redirects from one WP.com blog to another.
As well, there’s no limit on the number of tags you can have, just the ones you can put on any particular post. No reason to create a whole new blog. I don’t use tags, I use categories exclusively, but I have about 200 on raincoaster with no problems.

I use pages instead of posts. On My Name Is Roxie http://mynameisroxie.com/
I only have two posts. The rest are pages. I can’t add any new tags when I post a new page. Under my new blog http://mynameisroxiedigscelebritiesandtheirdogs.wordpress.com/ which is also a page in My Name Is Roxie; I can add new tags whenever I add a new celebrity to my blog. Would I have more flexibility with categories??? In http://mynameisroxie.com/ I have a recipe section, travel section, health section, roxie reads section, etc. etc. how could I use categories to my advantage?
Thanks

I’m still not 100% clear on the difference between tags and categories, but I’m very, very happy with what categories have done for me and you can convert categories to tags but not the other way around. That worries me, so I stick to categories.
Just categorize or tag things with words that are relevant to the content. The name of a celebrity is a perfect example. Look at the categories on this post of mine:
http://lolebrity.net/2008/07/17/helen-mirren-bikini-pic-ders-nuttin-lyke-a-dame/Not very many, but relevant and they do bring me traffic. And they bring huge Google juice as well; my raincoaster.com post about Helen Mirren is now #1 on Google.ca when you search “Helen Mirren Naked” (and yes, it’s SFW). It’s amazing what categories can do for you.

@justjennifer: 10 tags is a suggested number. You can safely use more than that. If you’re using a lot more than 10, your posts might not always show up.

Thanks for the clarification, tellyworth. I really try to keep it to a minimum myself. Only once in a while will I have “tag mania”, so I’m not worried personally (but I laughed when I saw the “knitting” tag reference-Mark’s suggestion?). ;-)

We started blogging a month ago at http://wtjujazz.wordpress.com and our posts appeared regularly on the Global Tags page http://wordpress.com/tag/wtju. Then, suddenly, none of our posts appear there, regardless of the number of their categories/tags. For example, http://wtjujazz.wordpress.com/2008/08/05/new-jazz-blues-additions-to-wtju-library-8408/ has only 9 categories/tags, yet it, too, no longer appears. What can we do to restore our former listing status?
