Tags disappearing on new posts after 6.7 version update.
I try to add tags to my post and trying to use “ADD NEW TAG’ section but it only allows me to use most used tags. I am unable to create new tags. When I try to write a new tag it disappears after the first letter. Is there anyone can help me with this problem? Thanks in advance. The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

This is a known issue with the recent WordPress 6.7 update. Many users have reported problems creating new tags or having tags disappear after adding them.
As a temporary workaround, you can create new tags from the classic dashboard view. Go to Posts > All Posts, then use the Quick Edit option for a post. In the Quick Edit panel, you’ll be able to add new tags without them disappearing. Once created, these tags should then be available to use in the block editor. If you continue to experience difficulties, the support team can provide further assistance.

You say this is a known issue @carmochloe – do you have a link to where it’s publicly reported? I couldn’t find mention of it at https://make.wordpress.org/core/. Thanks.

This issue is fixed on sites hosted on WordPress.com. You can find a staff reply about it in this long thread https://wordpress.com/forums/topic/i-have-a-problem-with-adding-a-new-tag/#post-4064337 along with my workarounds.
@thesclwebservices note that the above thread is from November 2024. In that same staff reply you’ll find a link to the closed github thread.
If you are now encountering this issue on a self-hosted WordPress site, you should check in the ORG forums. These forums support sites hosted on WordPress.com, the hosting provider.
