tags for pages

  I am trying to download a plug-in that allows me to add tags to my home page and about page. I would like someone to recommend a plug-in and also to explain how to download plug-ins. Thanks!

  Hi,

  Unfortunately, plugins are only applicable to self-hosted blogs and web sites using the WordPress.org software. Plugins are not permitted here at WordPress.com for various security reasons.

  If you desire that level of functionality, you may have to create a self-hosted site. The following support doc explains the difference: https://en.support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/

  HI, when I did some googling, I came across this site and tried to download it. Are you saying that my site won’t support this plugin because it is wordpress.com and not wordpress.org?

  I haven’t tried the Page Editor? Is it something that is available with my wordpress.com site?

  Hi,

  Yes, that’s correct. Uploading plugins is not supported on WordPress.com. You can only use the built-in plugins. Please read this document to see built-in plugins that are included within WordPress.com sites: https://en.support.wordpress.com/plugins/

  Please disregard what I said about the Page Editor. Tags only work with posts. If you really need that plugin, you would have to set up a self-hosted WordPress site.
