Tags in Posts

  If I add a tag to my post does, will this help me show up in google if someone searches google for that tag? If you go into setting and add a tagline does this help for google?
  I see that the tags are visible to the outside world and when someone clicks on the tab it just gives a list of wordpress posts relating to that tag.
  So to tags help people find you on google and also within wordpress?

  Yes, it will help. It will help MASSIVELY. Categories, the same.
