Tags in the ‘blogs I follow’ section

I wanted to see what people were writing about smoking and clicked it as a tag on the page with the blogs I were following, but now I quit smoking I want to eliminate it and there is no obvious way… anyone know how to eliminate ‘tags’ from the followed blogs page?

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  • If you revisit the tag, in this case https://wordpress.com/tag/smoking (I assume), you’ll see a green “Following Tag” link near the top-right. Click that link to unfollow it.

Thanks but I am not talking about un-following the blog itself but on the page that shows your latest followed blogs on the left side is a column that has a list of tag words that interest you. I added one to the list and now I see no way to remove it.

    Hi kl1hbalaska,

on the page that shows your latest followed blogs on the left side is a column that has a list of tag words that interest you.

I’ve checked your account you are no longer following the smoking tag, so it looks like the instructions staff-blorbo provided did the trick.

As long as you select the tag (not a specific blog), the Following Tag link should be there — clicking that will remove the tag from the list below.

Is there another tag you are having trouble removing?

I was only using smoking as an example the tag I wanted to remove was ‘ledger’ and I did manage to remove it by clicking on it and when it produced different blog postings related to ‘ledger’ I clicked the “following tag” above the picture at the top of the page and un-followed it . That removed the tag from my list.

    Thanks for you time
    pete
