Tags made out of numbers
-
Heya, when I try to make tags like “1992” or “2003” using the new design, they just go away after I’ve updated the post. If I look inside the post with the editing tool, they’re still there, but they wont display in the blog-post, however if I revert to the old design, and publish the post, there is no problem getting the tags visible.
This makes me a sad panda, since the new design works really well and I like it a lot more for composing my posts, but then I have to switch to the old design to be able to tag my posts properly.
Thanks in advance,

Hi Mattias!
Just to clarify, when you say “new design,” are you referring to the post editor at wordpress.com/post? It would look like this:
If so, it looks like I’m able to add number-only tags as demonstrated above. On your side, those aren’t registering correctly. Is that right?

Yes, that is correct. But do the tags stau after you save the post, and do they show in the preview of your blog post?
I can add them, bit they’re not registring properly when I publicise or preview, and when I close the page they disappear.
So I can add them, but they just “fall off” so to speak instead of sticking to the post.

You’re exactly right – the tags aren’t actually saved once you publish the post. Thanks for clarifying! Our team is aware of the issue. I’ll let you know as soon as this is fixed up.
