tags not showing up?

  I just started my blog a few days ago.
  I’ve been tagging my posts, mostly under “travel”, and also some more specific tags to the places mentioned.
  Questions: 1) Why do my new posts never appear under “latest posts” for travel?
  2) How do I get my blog to show up in a random Google search under the more specific tags?
