Tags not showing up at /tag/ URL

The tags are nice because people can click on them from your blog post to find related topics.
The majority of my tags are in the following format:
Language name (xyz)
where xyz is the three-letter ISO 639-3 code that uniquely identifies the language. Both parts are vital because people are usually looking for the language name, but many, many language names are ambiguous. (There are about 7000 languages and who knows how many names for them.)
I just noticed that these language tags result in a page with an error message: Sorry, we don’t have any posts here with that tag. You may want to try one of the sites below.
That is not helpful to my readers in finding relating posts. I hope on the one hand I haven’t been blacklisted as a “tag spammer,” and on the other hand that something can be done so that people can find relevant posts.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

I should have given an example. Here’s one: http://en.wordpress.com/tag/warumungu-wrm/ for my tag on the language Warumungu with the three-letter code wrm.

I sent a detailed message to the Happiness Engineers and will report back :)
My suggestion was that if they don’t want to add *my* tags, to default back to all the posts with my tags :)

This sometimes occurs because staff do not want people using tags unique to their blogs. The solution is to contact them and verify that these tags are actually useful, not just a way to drive traffic to your blog. I don’t think you’ll have a problem once you explain this.

I contacted support and explained why I want to use my unique tags. I received a response back today. They altered something, and my tags are now working.
I appreciate the comments here and the support from the Happiness Engineers!
