Tags not visible on blog, even though have added five

  Hi, I have added five tags and they are visible in my ‘dashboard’ and in settings, I have selected that they be visible on my blog. But all I can see are Categories that I have added blog entries to, no tags.

  I am also therefore wondering, will WordPress then ‘pick up’ my entries relating to the tags I’ve chosen? Ie. how do I also ensure my blog entry falls under the right tag (eg, Family).

  I am very new to this blogging, any info would be really helpful! Thanks :)

  Firstly, we need a link to your blog to see the issue you are talking about, and secondly, did you actually add the tags to posts that are published? Tags and categories only appear on your blog if there are published posts in those categories or marked with those tags. As long as you publish using tags and categories, wordpress.com will pick up the tags and categories that you use. Mind you though, ‘Family’ is a very broad tag with probably hundreds, if not thousands of posts every day, and your post is easily lost among the rest. There is no ‘right’ tag or category, you are free to use or create any tags and categories you want, either among those already on wordpress.com or create new ones.
