Tags to My Blog Only – No Global Tags
-
This forum posting came pretty close to answering my question…
https://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic/tags-to-your-blog-only
But then 2 commenters decided to do some bickering and everything went downhill.
Regardless, I don’t want to use global tags. When a visitor to my blog clicks a tag I’ve listed within a posting, I want only my related blog postings to show up. Meaning, I don’t want my blog’s visitors going to a tag page littered with tags not related to my blog.
It looks like a category cloud widget is suggested. It’s also suggested that I block search engines under the privacy settings. I wouldn’t mind getting traffic from search engine searches. But, I’d rather have related postings from my blog displayed if someone accesses a tag within my blog posting.
Thank you for your help.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

It appears that if you set privacy to block search engines tags and categories in posts remain local. I think that removes you from global search, so search engines will have a hard time finding your blog.
Category and tag widgets, or clouds, link only to your own posts in your blog. They help readers navigate around your blog.

Cool – any suggestions that wouldn’t decrease the exposure the blog gets through search engines?
Blog traffic through search engines = cool.
Random (and usually non-related) blog postings showing when somebody clicksthrough a tag within my posting = not cool.
