take blog off line but not delete

  Hi would like to take blog off line for around a month – how could i do this please

  make it private:
  Dashboard->Options->Privacy

  I just tried http://luxgood.wordpress.com/ and it takes me to the main wordpress.com page, so it’s working (if that’s the blog URL you made private)
