Take my name off but don’t close the site?

  The site associated with my name is a volunteer organization that I am no longer a part of. Can I close my Word Press account without deleting the website? Another person is managing it now

  Hi there,

  Yes if you wish you can close down your account and the site at gardensonanderton.org will not be taken offline.

  One thing to be aware of though is that a plugin on your site (Jetpack) is currently connected to this account, so a few features (such as site stats and subscribers) will be lost. If you are not worried about retaining those then no worries. You can close this account and the new site admin will see a message to make a fresh Jetpack connection when they log in to the site.
  
  If you wish to retain those without any interruption please let us know, and we can walk you through the process of removing your account without losing any Jetpack functionality.

  Yes please; I would like help to delete my account but keep jetpack on also, thank you.

  Thanks for clarifying. To proceed you will need to transfer your Jetpack connection to the new admin, so they have access to the historical stats and subscriber data for the site.
  
  To do that you can follow the steps here: https://jetpack.com/support/transfer-your-jetpack-connection-or-plan-to-another-user/

  Once you have made the transfer you can let us know here so we can confirm and then advise you that you are able to safely close this account.
