take off the wordpress footer

  hi there

  i paid for a premium layout yet the wordpress footer with theme title still shows .
  is that normal?

  We ask that you keep the credit to WordPress.com and your theme as part of our Terms of Service. It’s worth noting that we also ask this of sites hosted through our VIP program. You can see an example of this at the bottom of the TED blog:

  Could you please confirm that this footer would also exist if I upgrade to wordpress.com Business? Or if I pay the annual “No ads” upgrade?

  Hi Emma.

  With our WordPress.com Premium or Business plans, you’d be able to use custom CSS to add your own copyright information alongside the existing credits in the footer. You wouldn’t be able to completely remove the existing credits to WordPress.com and the theme’s author, however.
