Take site down cancel account
-
I am moving my domain and site to another system. How do I take the site down and remove the connection?
-
What is the domain URL please?
Exactly which username account purchased the upgrade?
Exactly which underlying .wordpress.COM blog was the upgrade purchased for?
Important note: There are a few different methods for using a domain registered through WordPress.com with a different host. If you purchased a domain name via wordpress.com Staff need to know whether or not you want to keep the domain name and use it on another site.
You have to be logged in as Admin http://en.support.wordpress.com/user-roles/#administrator under the exact same username account that registered the blog to access the blog’s dashboard, cancel any upgrades, claim a refund for any qualified upgrades, and disable auto-renew. Dashboard > Store > My Upgrades. You can also disable auto-renew there. http://en.support.wordpress.com/my-upgrades/#canceling-upgrades
I typed modlook into the sidebar tags on this thread for a Staff follow-up. From the support docs: How do I get a Moderator/Staff reply for my question? https://en.support.wordpress.com/getting-help-in-the-forums/#how-do-i-get-a-moderatorstaff-reply-for-my-question Then we subscribe to this thread so we are notified when they respond. Hi there,
I have removed the domain mapping for creating-insight.com from under your account. I see that you already deleted your site.
Let me know if you have any other questions.
Thanks!

Darnel, thank you. I know enough to be very dangerous. I have transferred domains in the past, do I need a formal transfer for this, or can we now access and update the named servers?

Hi there,
Your site is was not registered with WordPress.com, only mapped to a site here. From what I see in the whois records, the site is hosted with Network Solutions. You’ll need to access your account there in order to change the nameservers.
Let me know if you have any other questions.
Thanks!
