Taken domain, but not taken?

  I wanted to change my domain name to “letscutloose.wordpress.com” and it said it was taken but then I went to ‘letscutloose.wordpress.com’ to see if it was a cool blog and whatnot and it said the site was deleted. So since that person deleted it, can I have the domain?

  Hi there. Unfortunately you can’t. The support docs are very clear that deleted URLs cannot under any circumstances be recycled. You’ll have to pick a different address or consider upgrading to a custom domain.
