Takes forever to upload theme

  Hi,
  just purchased domain and host and now ready to build my website.
  I picked one from Astra Starter site and started importing, it was loading for 3 hours.
  I stopped and decided to pick another theme, still the same.
  I live in Vancouver, so my internet speed is pretty good.
  Why is this happening and how can I make it faster.
