Takes over an hour to upload .mov?

  Is it supposed to take over an hour to upload a .mov to my wordpress site? It is 878 MB. This is my first time uploading a video to my site. If it takes this long to upload it, will viewers have to wait an inordinately long time to view it once they click on it? It is still trying to upload it as we speak. Don’t know if this is normal….?

  I don’t think that is normal behavior either so I have flagged this thread for Staff attention.

  We don’t have any control over how long it takes to upload a video. That’s mostly controlled by your connection speed.

  If it’s 878 MB in size and you’re on a slow connection, it could take an hour, even more.

  Upload speeds on many ISP connections are slower than download speeds – I think my download speed is something like 5x the upload speed –
