Taking over an existing site

    I recently have taken over a site that was previously administered by someone else. I was told to create a wordpress account and accept the invitation to administer which I did. I have never done anything on wordpress so im not sure what else i need to do in order to make the transfer complete. The other person that managed the site will be removing it from their wordpress account and i dont want anything to be lost. What else should I do?
