Taking Submissions

  I am trying to make an online journal where people can submit writing of theirs for publication. I would like to create a page with a form on it where people can enter their information, upload documents, and also pay a small fee, but I don’t know how or even if I can do this with wordpress. The fee payment would also need to be a required part of the form where the person could not submit the form without paying.

  Is there a way I can do this with wordpress? Do the premium accounts perhaps have this feature?

  Hi there. I’m afraid this is not possible on WordPress.com. There’s no way for people to upload documents to a WordPress.com site without you first adding them as authors or higher, and there’s no way to enforce payment with a contact form or control visitor’s access based on whether or not they paid.

  For any of these you’ll need to set up a self-hosted WordPress.org site on your own domain. On a self-hosted site you’ll be able to install plugins to give you these features. See here for more information on WordPress.org: http://en.support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/
