Talk Talk 'No Data Received' error

Same here. Someone must find a solution or explanation. otherwise migration might be the only option.

Still no access here in Yorkshire,UK…too many days without the ability to Blog…very frustrating…my .org blog is fine though and I wonder how easy moving all my blogs from WordPress.com to .org would be?
-
VERY frustrating week. I’m a talk-talk user too but not convinced that’s the issue. Still can’t get into my account today. Managed to get into the account yesterday and post something which then wasn’t accepted for publishing. It was left in draft mode but today I find that somehow it now has been published. Does WP put attempts at publishing into an automated queue?
-
I should also say that what I find MOST frustrating is that there is no help facility. How do you actually easily get in touch with someone from WP to get a problem resolved?
-
In fairness to WP, they probably are working hard on resolving this, but I imagine that, partly at least, the issue is out of their control.
Saying that, it would be nice to have another update from them here, even if it is just to say ‘we’re still working on it’
-
Quite right, Neil: absence of evidence is not evidence of absence. But as transport and travel companies should know, there is nothing like a lack of communication to frustrate users. A simple: “we will have the next update at x o’clock” often has a big positive impact.
I’ve not read all of the posts, but am I the first person to notice that, whilst we cannot reliably access wordpress.com blogs, we can access wordpress.com forums?
Is there a clue in there someone with a far better technical brain than I?
-
Having same issue (no data received) for a week now. Only been with Talk Talk for 6 weeks or so.
Reported to them via phone on Saturday and am waiting for an update.
Very frustrating as WordPress.com is the only affected site.
I even took my laptop to work and logged on absolutely fine via a different ISP. -
I’m not with Talk Talk. I’ve cleared my cache and cookies and checked for malware. Still can’t access my blog or those I follow.
-
WP twitter acc just posted their daily post blog – about overhearing conversations!
Still nothing but slence from them about this problem though.

Like a little light relief? Road drill and small tractor in street outside this window is doing my head in. It’s the 8th or 9th time BT have had to dig up the same hole in the pavement!! This time their trench digger’s going right across the road. Good job am not trying to write creatively! (Last week we got onto OpenReach’s CEO about the shambolic service to resident’s continuing disconnections and she cracked the whip!)
It all started back in July AT THE SAME TIME this WP issue arose – could this local tech problem in our road be the real cause of everyone’s problems? Is it too coincidental?
One coincidence not so far-fetched is that on 26 July I remarked herein that these severe problems had started just after PM Cameron started his crackdown on internet porn. A week or so later our engineers admitted it was related to IWF action and faulty blocking by ISPs. ALSO related may be the sudden receipt in the last fortnight of porn-mail to the pseudonym address I use mainly for WP blogging purposes!!
Having been offline over weekend I can now access blog a lot better. However, loading any link is v slow and some to sites on this thread fail (eg Dyfedwyn’s ok but not Bookboodle’s). Find IE11 slow at loading any WP blog but Google is immediate, yet on testing it has lost connection even though have set WP browser settings to use https.
-
They’re probably trying to implement the government’s censorship program. I expect some idiot reported an illegal site on WordPress.com so the blocked the lot, the same as China and Russia.
-
Hello Engineers,
In view of my previous and tandava108’s comment it would be re-assuring to all concerned if you can confirm you’ve taken the promised steps to ensure July’s incidents have not been repeated in the current issues? After 1 week of no data received errors, we need something a great deal more serious than a ‘happiness engineer’.
In short, we are pressing you for words!!
HELP & INFORMATION are just two, that are glaringly missing from this post -
For the first time for 5-6 days I’ve got access to dashboard, & can again post, edit etc – so has the problem been resolved ?
-
This situations defies belief so I am trying to think of reasons why WP are not communicating with us.
1. They no longer exist?
2. Things are so bad that they cant actually access the forum to see what is going on?
3. They cant access this forum to respond to our comments?
4. They don’t care about their customers?
5. They don’t know what is causing the problem and dare not tell us.
6. They do know what is causing the problem but know that there is no way it can be resolved.
7. No-one in authority at WP is taking any responsibility for this and the “Happiness Engineers” are pretending it is not happening.I am running out of ideas now can anyone else help.

howiecobb and 4xporters – how about:
8. they can exert influence but do not have the control they need to fix the problem.
Let’s face it, 99% of the time, most of us rate WP extremely highly – well, I do. So let’s cut them, a little slack and make our complaints constructively and respectfully.
In the meantime, my ISP/phone provider (not Talk-Talk) recommends “using a proxy such as Ninja Cloak (http://www.ninjacloak.com/ ) to get to WordPress sites, or alternatively some sort of VPN, such as Spotflux (http://www.spotflux.com/ ).”
Since I have the problem only sporadically, I can’t say it is definitely a fix, so I offer it to you without commendation.
Mike

in response to stryka66, who said he can access wordpress blogs now, so can i now. so i think the problem has been solved. it is 3.42pm britishsummertime .
-
PS: I should have said, I have tried installing the spotflux add-on to Chrome. The Ninja site looks heavily add-dominated and worries me a little. I figure if it is in the Chrome store, it must have had some vetting by people who know a lot more than I do.
-
Mike,
I do – or did, rate WP highly. I did cut them slack for the first couple of days of no communication or fix. But I’m now on day 6 with no signs of it being resolved, or announcements of any progress or method. So no, I don’t think WP have been constructive or respectful.
