Hello, I need help in completing a transfer of a domain that I owned and expired this morning. I attempted the transfer and the confirmation code email never made it to me, now I cannot transfer as don’t have the code.

@allianceguy – there have been a few people with transfer code problems in the last few days – I have flagged this for the staff to help
However I don’t think an expired domain can be transferred, I think the name registration needs to be current

I’m told the domain is reserved, but it’s associated with my current WordPress account. The domain has not expired. I only want the $19 version. I’m told I can ask WordPress to release it.

Ok, thanks, I was attempting to transfer before it expired as of yesterday. I was able to turn off private registration and send a confirmation mail which never made it. Now I am not able to resolve.
Wonder if its possible to renew just the domain and then transfer? Cannot find that option on the website or to speak with in WP.

OK, I’d love to open my own support request. I go to that page and see endless lists. I click Domain and see endless lists. I’m sorry to be so slow at this, but I don’t see how to open a support request.

If you follow the link staff-blorbo provided you can start a private conversation with the support team (although it will suggest some of the support pages and forums en route because these sources can answer a lot of user questions). If you click the “I <still> didn’t find the right answer” buttons you can fill in a form and set it to private and a member of staff will be in touch.

Sorry for the confusion. This is your thread, you don’t have to create a new thread so just keep posting here. We were instructing @allianceguy and @crystalstar22 to create their own thread so that their issues don’t get intertwined with yours.

If you look here:
http://www.whois.com/whois/theresacrater.comit says your domain is registered at Fastdomain and does not expire until September 30. I think that may be why it’s saying that the domain name is reserved.

I think what macmanx meant here:
You'll need to renew the domain before it can be transferred.was that you first need to renew your domain name where you registered it from (either Fastdomain or Bluehost or wherever you bought it from). You definitely did not buy your domain name from WordPress so they don’t have access to your domain name here at WordPress. Only you and the domain registrar (where you bought the domain name from) have access to the domain name.
After you renew it at your domain registrar, only then can it be transferred to WordPress.
