  Other wordpress users should also note that TalkTalk provide an ISP level user-customisable blocking facility.

  I have found that wordpress.com is classed as ‘social networking’ and therefore if social networking sites are set to be blocked by YOU then this may mean you have problems getting onto your wordpress.com site.

  this only affects me when I have the HOMEWORK TIME setting turned on for my kids at…err…homework time.

  Thanks for your input. As noted in the article I linked, Talk Talk was blocking WordPress.com erroneously based on data from the Internet Watch Foundation.

  I think we are going to see more of these issues as ISPs in the UK and perhaps elsewhere (including the US) become more aggressive about monitoring traffic that passes through their services. It’s an important issue and something to keep an eye on.
