taxes for plugins / taxes for template

Hi, I tried to activate some free themes on my WP website and I noticed I can’t use plug-ins like elementor without a business plan. Is having this plan mandatory in order to use any kind of plugins? If I purchase some paid themes will I have access to plugins without a business plan? Also, do I have to pay an extra monthly fee if I use my own, non WP domain at some point? Thank you!

    Hi there,

Is having this plan mandatory in order to use any kind of plugins?

Yes, you can only add third-party software like themes, plugins, some extensions if you upgrade to a Business or E-commerce plan.

If I purchase some paid themes will I have access to plugins without a business plan?

Please do not purchase a theme yet if you are not on the plans mentioned above as you will only be disappointed when you cannot use them.

also, do I have to pay an extra monthly fee if I use my own, non WP domain at some point?

for you to be able to map or transfer your domain to WP.com you will need to upgrade to a paid plan. Any paid plan includes the mapping fee. The plan is the only thing you pay for and you can choose to pay either monthly or yearly.
