  Hello, I tried to renew my blog the other week and was unsuccessful. I emailed you to inquire and heard nothing back. It appears that my website is now messes up. Please advise on why my website is messed up.

  Hi –

  No worries, I’m happy to help. Please let me know which site you’re looking to have renewed.

  tdoconsultants.com was mapped to us on a business plan and that has expired.

  Since the domain is only mapped to WordPress.com you’ll want to check on the registration status and expiration date with GoDaddy.

  All that’s needed to get the domain reconnected to your account is to 1. add the plan and 2. reconnect the mapping.

  Go to https://wordpress.com/pricing/ to pick your plan

  Next, click on My Sites- Domains- Add and enter the domain.

  The name servers are still pointed towards WordPress.com so that shouldn’t need adjusted from GoDaddy’s side of things.

  Hello, if I renew the Business plan will that restore my website?

  You’ll need to renew your business plan, and if you had plugins that you were using to display shortcodes you’ll need to ensure those are working as well.

  I understand that I need to renew my business plan but my question is once I do will my website be restored. Telling me to restore my business plan doesn’t answer my question.

  Your website is messed up because all your plugins were deactivated when your Business Plan expired. Adding a new Business Plan will allow you to reactivate those plugins, but you might need to manually reconfigure some of them again.

  I’ve sent you a link via email to pay for the renewal of your plan. Once we receive your payment we can restore the Business Plan to your site, and then you’ll have access to live chat support again to help you get everything set back up the way it was.
