Team members not able to benefit from site plan?

  • Unknown's avatar

My supervisor purchased the ‘Business’ plan for what will be our website. They have added me as a team member for the site and given me the administrator role, as I will be very involved in building the site. I am unable to use the features locked behind the plan, such as installing plugins. My supervisor claims to be able to do so on their end, so the plan seems to be active. If I navigate to the ‘upgrades>purchases>active upgrades’ page on my end, it shows no upgrade plans ever purchased for the site. Surely every team member working on the same site doesn’t need to buy an individual plan, right?

    Hi there!

Not all team members need to upgrade the same site, but I think I see what happened here. Your account, @jtstansberry, is added to a free site, not the site with the Business plan that supports installing plugins.

You’d want to contact the owner and ask them to add you to https://sovatocom.wpcomstaging.com. Once you’ve accepted the invite, you’ll have access to the correct site that has the WordPress.com Business plan.

    Hope that helps!

Thank you for looking into it and responding so quickly! I’ll let them know I need to be added to the other site. Thanks again

  • Sounds like a plan, @jtstansberry! Please let us know if you need any additional help.
