Tech Literature Blogging Network
-
I have an idea. What we have a network of tech and literature bloggers that link to each other, so we can direct traffic to each other and help eachother out?
What do you think?
-
Yah. it’s good idea..
Let me know if anyone who like to exchange the link with me..
I will your blog in my blogroll as soon as you have added my blog in ur blogroll.
<<OR>>
you can mail me if you are interest about Link Exchange Program.. -
Is that ONE network, or two? I never write about tech, but I write about literature all the time (3 or 4 times today alone!).
Are we basically talking about a webring?
-
Haha, yeah I guess I mean a web ring. Well, it depends. If there’s enough people, there’ll be two networks. Or we can have a hybird network. Cause I blog about tech and harry potter.
btw, my new blog is at http://griffinpost.wordpress.com, I’m having trouble deleting the old one.
And what do we call our blog network?
Federated Blogging Media?
Federated Blogs Incorporated? (FBI)
Blogging Media Network?? (BMN)
Inter-media Blogging Network? (IMBN or IBN)

I just thought we could link to eachother in our blogs, like we all make a new catergory called the “Inter-media Blogging Network” and but people’s blogs in it.
When the network gets big, we put an afflilates page in our blog and make a private blog to co-ordinate efforts of the network.

Anyone issue to deside on if you would allow blogs from outside of wp.com space.
As to the name, how about TLit?
-
That name’s not bad. If anyone is interested comment on my blog.
The network should be open so people outside wordpress should be able to join.
Lets have two seperate sub-networks. So we could have a whole network called the “Intergrated Blogging Network”, and then a Tech and Lit division. That way if more people join the network and their blogs don’t fit into a catergory we can make a new division.
To head the network we could have a 5-7 membered council, and each council member could represent a division in the network. For excample I could represent of the tech division, while rain coaster would head the lit division.
It would be the council’s join to decide what blogs can join the network and we could express opinions as a whole network with our combined efforts. If you’re interested in this i.e. want to head a division or be a council member please contact me on my blog.
Please note that you have to be a frequent blogger to join the network. -
councils, divisions, representatives –
maybe even committees — OY!
decisions about who’s out and who’s in —
leaders, followers, brown nosers, hosers — OY VEY!
voting, numbers, statistical records — YIKES!
scary stuff for sure, for sure …
*chuckle – just kidding*
best wishes -
Naw, the thing keeping me away is that the only filter is the willingness to join. I’m pretty snobbish about what gets on my blogroll, and I’m not willing to automatically blogroll somebody just because they joined this. I’ll wait and see who participates and how good they are first.
-
Well, if anyone wants to join the network, Council seats are up for grabs as long as you post regularly. Come on people, this network could increase hits on ALL our blogs, not to mention it willncrease our ranks on technorati by a few thousand places.
-
I would be willing to be part of the – Intermedia Blogging Network – provided all the blogs that are part of the network be heavily screened prior to them being allowed to put other blogs on the network in their blogroll.

[the devil’s advocate enquired]
Aside from increasing readership, for what purposes will the proposed network exist?
What will the network standards for admission be?
What will the qualifications to become a “heavy screener” be?
And who shall screen and select the potential candidates for positions as “heavy screeners”?
What criteria will the heavy screeners utilize to heavily screen blogs of potential members in the proposed blogging network?
Who will notify bloggers whose blogs do not meet the muster of their failure to be accepted as members of the network?
Will there be a grievance process established for candidates whose blogs fail to meet the muster of the network blog standards?
What process will be utilized to remove blogs from the network that fall below network standards? -
@rexdixon
Yeah, we’ll screen blogs before adding them to our network. Since you’re one of the first people to sign up, you’re in the council (congratulations!)heading the Tech division with me.@Timetheif
Pretty nice blog you have there. If you want you can head the enviromental division, or start what ever division you want.Aside from increasing readership, for what purposes will the proposed network exist?
The network could connect people with similar interests and the whole network can have a collective effort in voicing their opinions, that way we’re more likely to be heard. People can also guest post on each other’s blogs, creating a pretty cool community. Contecting people on the network could also be easier by creating a group blog.
What will the network standards for admission be?
As I’ve mentioned before, all you have to do is post regularly, the council decides if you get in or not. Of course the heads of division should not be taken on lightly and the screening process for heads of division are alot more strict than normal membership in the network.
What will the qualifications to become a “heavy screener”be?
Screeners will be members of the council. They decide if you get in. Later when we get heaps of people applying, they’ll have to apply to certain divisions andnthe heads of those divisions will screen the applicants, but this will be much later on.
And who shall screen and select the potential candidates for positions as “heavy screeners”?
The members of the council are who ever aplies early on, like now. I usually have a look at your blog to see if you post regularly. What criteria will the heavy screeners utilize to heavily screen blogs of potential members in the proposed blogging network?
Freuquency of posts, quality of posts, accuracy of posts and technorati ranking.
Who will notify bloggers whose blogs do not meet the muster of their failure to be accepted as members of the network?
It depends, if we get such a large infulx of applicants we’ll probably use a automatic process for notifying the people that were rejected.
Will there be a grievance process established for candidates whose blogs fail to meet the muster of the network blog standards?
Your questions are getting steadily more ridiculus. There’s not going to be someone with a hanky saying “There, there, you’ll get in next time.” I don’t think people are going to get seriously hurt if we reject his/her application.
What process will be utilized to remove blogs from the network that fall below network standards?
Their link will be removed from the network blogroll and their accoutn will be deleted on the group blog.
