I have added a page break in my front page blog and when I click “read more” on my live site nothing happens.
Also, I’ve added “comments” but when I click on “comment” on my live site nothing happens either. Please help! I’m very frustrated!

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

    Hi there,

As stated in the previous thread you created, you’re asking for help in the wrong place.

As you have a self-hosted WordPress site, please try posting your question in the WordPress.org support forums.

Does it matter that I’m a .com subscriber?

Your site may be connected to a WordPress.com account via a plugin called Jetpack, but is where your site is hosted that determines where you should request support from.

The forum you have posted this thread only provides support for sites hosted here at WordPress.com.

Your site appears to be hosted with Bluehost, not WordPress.com. Is that correct – did you pay Bluehost for hosting?

If you did, please try posting your question in the WordPress.org support forums.

To learn about the differences between the two versions of WordPress (.com vs.org), please see this guide.

I understand what you are saying but I’m not building my site for free. I signed up with wordpress.com via bluehost so I can just concentrate on my content. Your advice is not solving my problem

I’ve tagged this thread with modlook so a member of staff can try clarifying it for you.

Thanks. I spent 4 hours yesterday with bluehost chat help and they cannot access either of my buttons, comments or read more. They said it was a wordpress issue. Nothing seems out of the ordinary at their end. I’m very frustrated because I’m pretty good at this stuff and I’m baffled. I have traffic on my site but they can’t access it entirely.
I appreciate all the help you can give. Btw, does wordpress have remote assistance?

  • Hi @cindydeveau1965, sorry for the confusion. If it helps, think in terms of who you are paying for what service.

You paid Bluehost for hosting service, so for problems with hosting you would go there.

At Bluehost, you are using a free copy of WordPress.org software, which is not a service.

If analogies help, think of it as a free recipe you’re using with Bluehost. If you need help with your own WordPress installation, Bluehost may be able to help, as I know they have a WordPress support team but they may charge extra for it. Or you can try the community forums at https://wordpress.org/support. For what it’s worth, the problems seems to be something you’ve done with your links, so maybe look into any plugins or settings that adjust that structure.

Another option would be to move the site here to our services so we can help you troubleshoot from our end. If you want to go that route and need help getting started, we can help.

Also, you do have Jetpack connected on your site. Jetpack is one of our services, however it isn’t related to the question you’re asking here.

    Good luck!
