Tech support please!
-
A couple of days ago I posted regarding my problem not being able to modify widgets or menu. I can’t even find my original post in the forum now. How do you get access to actual technical support around here?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

https://en.forums.wordpress.com/profile/lamainlibre This is your first and only post in this forum, unless you used a different account.
-
raincoaster, please see the correction above.
Does anyone know how to resolve this issue, or how to get in touch with tech support?
-
This is the ONLY thread you have EVER posted on WordPress.COM, any other thread was someplace else, not here
What is the blog you need help with and what type of problem are you having?
-
auxclass, yes, again, please see the correction above. I initially wrote about the problem on the support page, and not on the forum.
The problem is that I can edit neither the widgets nor the menu for my blog from my dashboard. I am using the Oxygen theme.

The support page and the forum page are the same – just a different view of the same database
This shows exactly one (this thread) anywhere on WordPress.COM

Try these fixes: http://en.support.wordpress.com/browser-issues/

Ahhh ok…
Well I tried the suggestions on the Browser Issues page but I don’t think it’s a browser issue.

Do you have more than one account with WordPress.com? Do you have more than one blog here?
At any rate, what is your question? Which site is the question about?
Please use http:// links so we can take a look at what’s going on.
-
I have only one blog here, although I’ve changed the address a couple of times. It’s how at http://lamainlibre.wordpress.com
-
Okay. So please post your question with details about the problem.
And just to be sure, the blog you are having trouble with is:
http://lamainlibre.wordpress.com/ ? -
That is the address, yes.
Okay, I have managed to resolve the Menus problem on my own. So all that remains now is the difficulty with Widgets.
The problem is that, when I go to my Dashboard -> Appearance -> Widgets, I cannot edit the widgets on my blog. The widgets that are already on my blog do not appear. That is to say, they appear in the Available Widgets box, but nowhere else on that screen (Primary Sidebar, Footer Widget Area Two, etc), even though they already appear on http://lamainlibre.wordpress.com
Has anyone ever had any problem like this? Aside from the forum, is there any tech support at WordPress? I would appreciate any advice anyone can give me regarding this problem.
-
Yes, literally everyone at wordpress.com has had this situation.
Before you add a widget to the Widgets sidebar in that page, the default set of widgets does not show. Put a widget, any widget, in that area. Then all the prefab set of widgets will disappear and you can put in only which ones you want.
-
So, have you tried to add any widget of your choice to a sidebar? Themes come with a sample set of widgets, just so you get the idea that widgets can be added. Just add a widget, any widget, to the sidebars, then the default set of widgets should go away and you can then add the widgets you want, in the order you like.
Does this help?
