    I am receiving an error message when I try to ‘activate’ the liscense for elementor… I contacted both elementor and hostgator and both companies advised to contact you guys to maybe rectify the issue…

    Hi there,

    This is WordPress.com forum, It seems like your website is using the open source WordPress software (from WordPress.org) which is hosted elsewhere rather than WordPress.com. Which means, WordPress.com staff are limited to access the file hosted elsewhere. To avoid confusion about WordPress.com vs WordPress.org please know the differences from here https://wordpress.com/support/com-vs-org/

    For general discussion about open source software, you can  find community advice here https://wordpress.org/support/forums/ where you’ll find more experts who are using the same software as you to provide help.

    However, for this specific case elementor support team should be the best to provide you proper guideline.
