Technical difficulties older posts

I recently was prompted to update my php from 5.something to 7.3. All seemed to be fine, I did all the steps and it appeared that everything was working. Until by chance I tried to access an older post. At that point I got a page that just said “The site is experiencing technical difficulties.” and nothing more. From a bit of trial and error, it seems that any post from November 2007 or earlier I get that, anything more recent, loads fine. I’m just wondering if there was some sort of change in wordpress structure or permalinks or something that would be causing this, and is there a way around it?
The site is saltshaker.net for anyone who wants to check and see what they can see.
