Technical issues w/customizer interface
-
CSS panel in customizer does not slide out but remains hidden behind customizer menu. I can see the edge of it, but it won’t display. Or sometimes it will flash open and then is gone again. Other menu items in the Customizer open just fine.
Using Chrome 32 as of today. No problems yesterday with previous version of Chrome. Cleared cache, etc.

Hi there – I’ve gotten one other report of this, but I’m also using Chrome 32 and it’s working fine for me. Are you using any browser extensions or add-ons with Chrome?
-
Thanks for the response. I did have a couple extensions installed, but removed them to see if it made a difference and it didn’t. Still happens w/out any extensions.
-
Hmm. Can you try it in an alternate browser, like Firefox, and let me know if the same thing happens?
-
Yep, have tried it in both Firefox and Safari w/out problems. Only Chrome and only the CSS panel in Chrome.

You do have Javascript enabled in Chrome, correct?
http://support.google.com/accounts/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=23852Can you please follow these instructions to check your console for any Javascript errors when you load the customizer:
-
Yes, Javascript is enabled.
I get a warning, but no error:
event.returnValue is deprecated. Please use the standard event.preventDefault() instead. jquery.js?m=1377267974g&ver=1.10.2:1
Also noted that when the console is turned on, the customizer works fine.
-
Ok, I don’t think that error is anything. I’m sort of at a loss with this, since I can’t reproduce it. You could try reinstalling Chrome, but since having the console open makes it function, maybe just open it when you need to edit CSS, or otherwise use Firefox for that.
I’m sorry I don’t have a better suggestion!
