Technical issues when using the Maywood theme
-
Why is it that when the website is about to go online, and it happened only this year, when I want to edit the article in the navigation menu at the red arrow in Figure 1 of the Maywood theme, the screen in Figure 2 appears, and then it goes to the add-on page in Figure 3, and I can’t re-edit the article in the navigation menu. The menu in Figure 4 also does not display the articles stored in the All Navigation menu in Figure 1. How can I retrieve these articles? (Also, I want to ask if this is because the theme has been updated? )

Hi there,
Thank you for reaching out to us!
when I want to edit the article in the navigation menu at the red arrow in Figure 1 of the Maywood theme, the screen in Figure 2 appears, and then it goes to the add-on page in Figure 3
When a link looks like this:
https://wordpress.com/page/mysitename.wordpress.com/XX-pagenumberAs is the case with the About link in the navigation menu, this tells us that it is linking to the page editor link, instead of the public link of the page. As only you, the logged in website owner can edit the page, it is displaying this unusual behavior.
I suggest removing that menu item from Appearance → Customize, and re-adding it as explained here: https://wordpress.com/support/menus/add-links-to-a-menu/#tab-customizer
Here is how this looks on one of my test sites:

The menu in Figure 4 also does not display the articles stored in the All Navigation
It looks like the menu elements were added as custom links, instead of page links. This means that the link names may not match the page titles, and it seems like the website has many pages without any titles.
As this appears to be page number 59, you’ll be able to open it in the Editor by adding this
/wp-admin/post.php?post=59&action=editafter your website address, something like this:yoursitename.wordpress.com/wp-admin/post.php?post=59&action=editLet us know if you run into any issues.

<font _mstmutation=”1″></font>The previous problem has been successfully solved, thank you very much for your help! But I still have a problem to solve. How can I add the article about the website pointed by the red arrow in the navigation bar of Figure 1 back to the article or page?

<font _mstmutation=”1″></font>
(Also, if I have a question I want answered, do I need to post a new thread on the forum instead of asking in an old thread? And how can I know if you guys have responded? Also, can I delete the wrong post and images at any time?)

Currently, when I visit your website, the link is already displayed and linked correctly. i wonder if I am missing any detail?
do I need to post a new thread on the forum instead of asking in an old thread?
Ideally, when a question is about a different topic, it is best to open a separate and new thread. This helps others search who for topics, as it makes the results more accurate.
But you can also reply in a previous thread (ideally, your own), and we’ll get back to you as soon as possible.
And how can I know if you guys have responded?
When replying, please make sure to tick the “Notify me of new replies” checkbox.
You’ll be notified about our replies in your WordPress.com account email. That is, the email address you use to log into your WordPress.com account.

Add the article of the website pointed by the red arrow in the navigation bar of Figure 1 back to the article or page. This is normal now, but I want to know how to add it back to the article list in the orange circle of Figure 1 or the page list in Figure 2 and why after posting a post in the Help Center, after trying a few times for the second time, the situation in the purple circle of Figure 4 appears?

-
<font _mstmutation=”1″></font>Also, can I delete posts and pictures that were posted incorrectly in the forum?

I asked the customer service department and they said it is as shown in the picture below, but there is no line that will show the trash bin as they said?

You’ll be able to edit that information by opening the page or post in the editor. You can do that by adding this
/wp-admin/post.php?post=59&action=editafter your website address, something like this:yoursitename.wordpress.com/wp-admin/post.php?post=59&action=editOnce you open it in the editor, you can add a title by clicking the title and editing it.
I did check the About this website page, and it looks like it already has a title set. But please let us know if you are still not able to locate it under Pages → All Pages. It may be on page 2 of that section.
why after posting a post in the Help Center, after trying a few times for the second time, the situation in the purple circle of Figure 4 appears?
This could have many causes.
Do you run into this issue often after posting to the forums multiple times?
If you clear your browser cache, does the issue persist?
Also, can I delete posts and pictures that were posted incorrectly in the forum?
I asked the customer service department and they said it is as shown in the picture below, but there is no line that will show the trash bin as they said? From the screenshot you kindly added to the thread, it looks like you are logged out from your WordPress.com account.
The option to edit or delete should be shown once you log into your WordPress.com account.
Thank you for helping us help you.
We will be looking forward to hearing back from you. -
I did not delete it when I was logged out of the website, because I couldn’t delete the post at all. What is the reason? I think it’s very strange whether it’s affected by the width problem between the old version and the new version. The three-dot menu you mentioned does not have the option to scroll up and down with the mouse, as shown in the order below, and the items only show Copy Link and Add to Favorites. Even the new posts and the processed posts are the same. I just want to know what the reason is?

I checked with my team, and it looks like only us Happiness Engineers have that ability.
If you find that there is something in the forum that you would like us to remove, just let us know and we will look into it for you.
