Technical problem with editing

    I tried to embed a youtube link in a post in the blog I’m contributing to as a writer. Turn out I DON’T have the option to “Add video” at all, so I tried to write it with the code:

    [youtube=link adress here]

    on the preview window nothing appeared. What should I do?

    The “contributor” role does not have the ability to upload images or insert videos. I don’t know if that can be gotten around by using the shortcode or not. Did you enter the shortcode in the HTML tab? Sometimes that is a little more reliable than putting it into the visual tab.

    It might be that you will have to have the blog admin/editor add the video for you when the post is ready to publish.

    Alternately you could ask if they would make you an author as that role can upload images and insert videos.
